Claimed Range vs Real World Range:

MG Windsor EV

The certified range of MG Windsor EV is 332 km with a battery capacity of 38 kWh on a single charge. However, real-world conditions such as traffic, weather, road conditions and mainly driving behavior influence this number. But after some customer’s feedback and driving tests, the Windsor EV delivers a practical range of 260 km in daily city—to—city traffic conditions and on highway you can expect a range of 280 km.

Tips to Improve the Range of Your Electric Car

  • Drive Mode:
The MG Windsor EV offers four driving modes, Eco, Eco+, Normal and Sports. But when range is priority, you can always use Eco mode for better efficiency.
  • Optimize Climate Control Usage:
Air conditioning and heating can consume a significant amount of battery power. You can always keep the AC on standard mode in your car AC settings option, to minimalize the usage of battery.
  • Monitor Tyre Pressure:
Under-inflated tires increase rolling resistance, reducing your EV’s efficiency. Check and maintain the recommended tyre pressure regularly to maximize range.
  • Maintenance:
Regular maintenance, including software updates, battery health checks, and inspections of the electrical systems, ensures your EV operates at peak efficiency.
  • Charge Smartly:
Frequently using fast charging can slightly impact battery longevity. Use slow charging for daily needs and reserve fast charging for emergencies or long trips.
